The Office of Career Services is committed to providing career content and resources for students to connect their academic experiences with their career development and preparedness for the job market & beyond. To assist in this process, we gathered several career-related assignments that are "ready to geaux."

Students can use this activity to compare and contrast different majors and occupations of interest using multiple factors. Completion of Focus 2 or CHOICES360 required.
Students will be guided thorugh an activity to connect different experiences throughout one's life to personal themes as they relate to career decision-making.
Students will use their Focus 2 career assessment results to find clues to unlock a door in a virtual escape room by unscrambling a code. Career insights will be revealed at each stage of the game. Completion of Focus 2 required.
Students will attend the Career Fair and initiate conversations with at least three employers about career opportunities. Following the Career Fair, students will write an essay describing the event, their perspective, and their thoughts about attending and outcomes or next steps.
Students will develop three behavioral "stories" using the STAR technique as a template drawing from past experiences in internships, co-ops, part-time jobs, volunteering, or college projects/activities
Students will connect with a professional in a field of potential career interest and demonstrate professional communication skills via insightful questions and email correspondence.
Students will develop a professional profile including professional photo, as well as a complete summary, education, experience, and skills sections. Students will join at least two groups on LinkedIn and connect with at least five other professionals.
