Kimberly Billeaudeau


Carla Fontenot
Associate Director, Employer Relations

Mrs. Carla joined UL Lafayette Career Services in November 2019 as Associate Director, Employer Relations but has been with the University since 2016 in the Office of Distance Learning as an Enrollment Specialist.  In her new role, she is tasked with connecting employers to the right set of students, faculty and staff.  Carla is an ambassador to employers for the Office of Career Services and the university. She will be working towards creating a “One Stop Shop” for all things career related in order to allow employers to easily connect to students and alumni from UL Lafayette. She also attends and assists in coordinating events and visits on and off campus including career fairs, interview days and other professional meetings.  Her background in business puts her in the ideal position to build relationships with employers. 

Carla is a graduate of UL Lafayette with a Bachelor of General Studies holding a concentration in Business Studies and a minor in Behavioral Sciences.  She plans to pursue her graduate degree in the future.

Mrs. Carla enjoys traveling, yoga and hanging out with family and friends.   She is a proud mom of 4 kids, one of which is a UL Lafayette student.

Lauren Fontenot Landry
Associate Director, Major and Career Exploration

Mrs. Lauren joined UL Lafayette Career Services in 2015 but has been working at the University in various roles since 2007. As an Associate Director, she is responsible for overseeing the Major & Career Exploration Center which provides career assessments, major & career counseling and assistance to students with their career plans. Mrs. Lauren holds memberships in the Louisiana Counseling Association as well as the Louisiana College Counseling Association, Louisiana Career Development Association & the Louisiana Association of Colleges and Employers. While attending both Louisiana State University & the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counselor Education.

Mrs. Lauren enjoys family, friends, cooking & traveling. She is a doting parent of one son & enjoys celebrating the many milestones achieved by not only her son but the many students she works with.




Karen Segura
Administrative Coordinator

Mrs. Karen joined the UL Office of Career Services as Administrative Coordinator in 2017, and is responsible for coordinating our on campus career fairs, managing online event registrations, billing and receivables, greeting our visitors and handling the behind-the-scenes organization of all things career fair related. She brings over 25 years of administrative experience in the accounting and oil & gas industries. A former psychology major and USL Sweetheart Dance Team Alum, Karen is excited to be working to connect UL Lafayette students with companies and career opportunities.

Mrs. Karen and her husband are blessed with 5 children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys attending the kids’ activities and spending time with family. Mrs. Karen also loves to travel and book travel. A dance instructor by trade, she spends some of her free time teaching the art of dance.

Stephanie Reese
​Administrative Assistant

Ms. Stephanie is the first contact most visitors will have when calling or visiting the Office of Career Services. As the administrative assistant for the Office of Career Services and the Career & Major Exploration Center since early 2017, she manages all of the daily clerical needs of the office. Ms. Stephanie answers incoming calls, supervises student workers, and assists in the career testing lab. Ms. Stephanie is new to the UL Lafayette family and we are so happy to have her on staff.

Ms. Stephanie enjoys reading and watching anything on HGTV. On the weekends she enjoys relaxing and spending time with her family.




Meredith Stutes
​Major and Career Exploration Graduate Assistant

Meredith is the Major and Career Exploration Graduate Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2019 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Counselor Education specializing in Mental Health Counseling. She is responsible for assisting with career assessments and guiding students through major & career transitions and decisions.

Meredith is a helper at heart. She likes staying active by spending quality time and sharing laughs with friends and family, creating DIY projects, gardening, and teaching her dogs, Norah and Ellie, new tricks. Meredith also enjoys meeting new people and exploring Lafayette through live music or visiting local social spots.




Office Hours
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
