New Orleans Saints & New Orleans Pelicans Mentorship Program
The Saints and Pelicans will offer a mentorship opportunity for UL Lafayette students during the Spring 2022 semester. Participants will be paired with a Saints or Pelicans staff member closely associated within their field of study. The goal of the program is to help students build industry relationships and prepare for a career in sports.
The mentorship program will run for eight weeks. Participants will meet virtually with their mentors at least once a week. There will be opportunities for in-person meetings including a facility visit. If chosen, students should plan to dedicate an hour a week to the program.
Deadline extended: The deadline to apply is now January 24, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
Mentorship Program Eligibility
To be eligible for the mentorship program, you must:
- Be an enrolled UL Lafayette student (full-time status) for the Spring 2022 semester
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Have an interest in pursuing a career in sports, tourism, or entertainment industries
Undergraduate Students:
- Have earned a minimum 60 hours upon completion of the Fall 2021 semester

- Graphic Design
- Hospitality Management
- Informatics
- Insurance and Risk Management
- Journalism

- Moving Image Arts
- Management
- Marketing
- Organizational Communications
- Public Relations
- Political Science
Graduate Students:

Pursuing any of the following master's degree programs:
- Accounting (M.S.)
- Business Administration (M.B.A.)
- Communication (M.S.)
- Informatics (M.S.)
- Kinesiology (M.S.)
