Jennifer LeMeunier joined UL Lafayette Career Services in December 2021 as Associate Director. She previously served at UL Lafayette for five years as Executive Director of Alumni Affairs and Alumni Association. In her new role, she will oversee on-campus recruiting (business and industry), technology operations, and communications. She will manage daily program operations, develop program policy/procedure, conduct program assessment and evaluation, and participate in strategic planning. Jennifer will also serve as the primary information systems manager for technology systems (Handshake) to provide campus interviewing, job postings, career fair registrations, and resume referral services for students and employers. Jennifer plans on getting involved with campus committees and organizations, as well as career service professional associations.

Jennifer graduated from UL Lafayette where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a public relations major and business concentration minor. She also graduated from Louisiana State University with a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration. Jennifer is married to Nock LeMeunier and they have four sons.

Kayla Patel

Kayla Patel joined UL Lafayette Career Services in November 2022 as Associate Director, Employer Relations. Prior to joining UL Lafayette Career Services, Kayla spent over 10 years as a public-school teacher and 4 years in higher education in various roles. In her last position, she was the Coordinator and Internship Specialist for SLCC Career and Testing Services where she was responsible for the development and success of the college’s internship program. In her new role as Associate Director, Employer Relations, Kayla will focus on developing relationships with employers to provide employment and experiential learning opportunities and ways for students to connect with those employers through career fairs, networking events, and information sessions. She will also provide support with Handshake to help employers recruit our UL Lafayette students and alumni.

Kayla graduated from UL Lafayette where she obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree. She also earned a Master of Arts in Education degree from Louisiana College.

Lauren Fontenot Landry
Associate Director, Major and Career Exploration

Lauren Fontenot Landry joined UL Lafayette Career Services in 2015 but has been working at the University in various roles since 2007. As Associate Director, she oversees the Major & Career Exploration Center within Career Services.  Lauren is responsible for managing & faciliting multiple career assessments, providing major & career counseling, assisting students with their career plans and collaborating with campus partners for strategic student career development initiatives. Lauren  is a dedicated member of the Louisiana Counseling Association as well as the Louisiana College Counseling Association, Louisiana Career Development Association & the Louisiana Association of Colleges and Employers. She also holds active memberships in the National Career Development Association and National Association of Colleges and Employers. While attending both Louisiana State University & the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling.

Karen Segura

Karen joined the UL Office of Career Services as Administrative Coordinator in 2017, and is responsible for coordinating our on and off-campus career fairs, managing online event registrations, office coordination and management, billing and receivables, greeting our visitors and handling the behind-the-scenes organization of all things career fair related. She brings over 30 years of administrative experience focused primarily in the accounting and oil & gas industries. A former psychology major and USL Sweetheart Dance Team Alum, Karen is excited to be working to connect UL Lafayette students with employers and career opportunities.

Karen and her husband are blessed with 5 children and 6 grandchildren. She enjoys attending the kids’ activities and spending time with family. A dance instructor by trade, she spends some of her free time teaching the art of dance.

Our Administrative Assistant is the first contact most visitors will have when calling or visiting the Office of Career Services. As the administrative assistant for the Office of Career Services and the Career & Major Exploration Center, she/he manages many of the daily clerical needs of the office. The Administrative Assistant answers incoming calls, supervises student workers, and assists in the career testing lab. 

Grayson Stepanek
Communications and Marketing Graduate Assistant

Grayson is the Communications and Marketing Graduate Assistant. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Mathematics in 2022 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is currently pursuing his Master’s of Business Administration. Grayson’s primary responsibilities are working with the Director and Associate Director on projects, events, and initiatives in the areas of marketing, graphic design, social media, public relations, and communications.

Grayson enjoys listening to music, working out, building and fostering relationships, and drinking a lot of iced coffee.

Elizabeth “Lilly” Campos
Advising/Coaching/Programming Graduate Teaching Assistant

Lilly is the Career Advising/Coaching/Programming Graduate Teaching Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2021 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently pursuing her Master of Speech Pathology. Lilly’s primary responsibilities include providing one-on-one and group career-related advising and training to students and alumni, and educating students about articulating their skills through resumes, cover letters, interviews and more. She is responsible for resume reviews, classroom presentations, and participating in career fairs.

Lilly enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends & family.
